11/06/10  Pilot Survey Sent Out

The Waste Attitudes and Behaviour Survey 2010 pilot questionnaire was printed and posted today.  404 questionnaires in total were sent out to households in the Chessington South, Norbiton, Surbiton Hill, and St. James wards of the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames.

 

31/08/10  Decent Response to Pilot Survey

Of the 404 surveys send out in June we have received back, to date, a total of 78 completed questionnaires (75 by freepost return and 3 completed on-line).  Considering the pilot questionnaire was sent out with no accompanying publicity or reminder letters etc., a 19.3% response rate represents a respectable figure.

11/10/10  Full Survey Sent Out 

Following some minor changes to the survey suggested by the pilot study, the full-scale Waste Attitudes and Behaviour Survey 2010 was printed and posted today.  Some 6341 questionnaires in total were send out to households across the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames' 16 wards.

01/03/11  Final Few Survey Responses Trickle In

Whilst the majority of completed surveys were returned to us before Christmas, we continued to receive a few stragglers every now and then through out January and February.   This brought our final total of fully completed returned surveys to 1628 (25.7%), which, considering the length and detail of the survey, represents very decent response rate, and a significant improvement on the pilot survey.
